FlickRocket FlickRocket is a cloud based e-commerce platform with a focus on secure distribution of digital content. Content owners can set up custom webshop front ends or use it to deliver DRM protected digital content for 3rd party web shops.

History

FlickRocket was started in 2010 by ACE GmbH, a German company. Today it operates additional offices in the United States and Great Britain. Reportedly over 10,000 content owners with more than 50.000 products are served.

Product Types

Supported digital content formats are HD/SD video, DVD (including all features such as menus, subtitles and all bonus content), audio, PDF, ePub, HTML packages (incl. video, images, text, etc.) and software/apps. Other product types are physical products, service products and web access.[1]

Platform Support

FlickRocket includes software/apps for Windows, MacOSX, Android, iOS, Chrome OS and Smart TV platforms. Video can also be burned to (optionally copy protected) DVD-R or streamed to Apple TV or Chromecast.

DRM

The DRM system works device based across all supported platforms both for streaming and downloaded digital content. Content owners can define on how many devices in parallel the content can be accessed and supports business models with permanent access as well as rentals and subscription systems.
