A good introduction into Photoshop CC
By J.M. Everhard
This book is a good introduction on Photoshop CC. For experienced users it gives a fine introduction to the new tools and how to use them. The beginners can learn the interface and how to use the most important tools. I think it is a pity the Adobe team did not write about how to interpret a histogram, how to create a workflow and how te determine the differences between different tools that can do the same job, for example Shadow - Highlight and Levels. Nevertheless it is a good book to understand and learn Photoshop.

Just what I needed
By Just Sayin'
I've been a self-taught Photoshop user ever since CS2, and the Classroom in a book series has been my go-to. Upgrading to the cloud from CS4, there were just enough changes that I needed a boost to feel confident using the program.
It's a great starting place for the beginning user, and super review for an upgrader like myself. Of course it doesn't cover every little detail, but this along with online tutorials seems to fill the bill.
