Product Description

Over the past decade financial service innovations have contributed to a completely new way in which customers can bank, threatening the status quo of traditional retail banks, and redefining a banking model which has been in place for generations. These new technological advancements have facilitated the rapid emergence of digital banking firms and FinTech companies, leading to established banks being forced to swiftly increase their pace of digital adoption to stay relevant and stop mass client attrition to these agile financial start-ups. These threats come at an inopportune time for banks due to mature markets currently experiencing stagnant growth. This coupled with decreasing profit margins due to the competitive pricing of new entrants, and financial customer loyalty becoming ever increasingly more tenuous.

5How the Digital Banking Revolution is changing the financial world
By vermont reviewer
Luigi Wewege shows his readers that the way to stay current with financial technology has companies transforming the traditional banking industry through disruptive innovation. His well researched book will open your eyes to how banks are faring with increased competition from the advances in digital competition. The information that the banking leaders need for today's market will be found within this book. The global financial crisis of 2007-2009 caused the collapse of many well established banks. Technology is changing at a rapid rate the way that finances are being handled. The millennial generation will soon have the largest purchasing power of any generation in history. Remember it took Google only 18 months to erase 85% market share with the launch of Google maps. Paypal has over 173 million customers. The emergence of mobile apps has completely revolutionized the way in which financial customers can interact with their respective banks. One of my favorite lines from the book. “In a digital world, winning and retaining customers hinges on creating value for them that enhances the convenience and quality of their everyday lives beyond mere financial transactions.” I found the book to be very informative and well written. I have rated this book a solid 5 stars. I look forward to reading more works by Luigi Wewege.
