Product Description

Content Machine outlines a strategy for using content marketing to build a 7 figure business with zero advertising. By teaching the fundamentals of content marketing, how to create great content and how to stand out from the crowd, it simplifies the otherwise challenging process of creating content with impact. Since the purpose of content marketing is to build a great business, Content Machine focuses heavily on how to create a high growth business off the back of your content. Author Dan Norris shares his story about how he grew his WordPress support business from scratch to over $1m AUD annual run rate in 2 years, spending only $181.23 on advertising. The lessons learned form a framework for building businesses and scaling content marketing, that are documented throughout Content Machine in terms any entrepreneur can understand. The book outlines the #1 biggest mistake that kills content marketing efforts and how the best content marketers in the world have built their audience, their content and their business. It provides downloads and frameworks to help the reader with every aspect of content marketing, from idea generation, to writing guidelines, to hiring and scaling a content team. Whether you are a blogger, content marketer, entrepreneur or marketing manager, Content Machine will help you see the return you deserve from your content marketing efforts.

While Dan's Success as a business man and a marketer is undeniable this book, will not help you build a content machine. It will give you some great best practices for blogging for business purposes that someone with no knowledge will find very helpful. The book is more a story of how he built WPCurve using blogging/content marketing and less of a this how you develop and execute an effective content marketing strategy.

5A must-read for internet entrepreneurs
By David C.
Dan's new book Content Machine is an actionable guide on how to create a successful, high-quality content-based internet business. Dan does not waste time with anecdotes and humor. Instead, the author fills his book with page after page of detailed, meaty content. He tells his readers exactly what to do and when to do it as they post their content and build their businesses.

The core idea is to create useful, meaningful content that will earn the blog visitor's trust. This is a refreshing idea in a world of wanna-be-entrepreneurs that only want instant payoffs created from a minimum amount of actual work. Sorry, folks. Real businesses don't work that way. There is no 'trick' to Dan's methods. They are based on hard work and deep thought, much like the book itself. However, Dan's methods will provide a very big, very sure payoff if followed. It is not an easy read, but it is a great read if you want to be successful in the internet business. I highly recommend 'Content Machine' by Dan Norris.

5This is one of the best books on the topic of content marketing and entrepreneurship ...
By AvidReader
This is one of the best books on the topic of content marketing and entrepreneurship I have ever read. It is packed full of useful, topical and actionable information, written in a confident and very engaging style. I read it from start to finish without clicking on any of the numerous links to additional information because I simply couldn't wait to see what was on the next page. Now I plan to read through it again slowly and take notes, studying the additional information and really putting it into action. I have been studying the topic of entrepreneurship and online business for some months now, to the point where I am starting to realise I probably know as much (in theory) as most people writing books on the subject. I can pick a batch of crap (and believe me, I've seen a few) however Dan's book was a wonderful surprise. It not only showed me some new information, but also confirmed some of the opinions I was secretly forming about some of the information I have already read (ie that perhaps it is not all totally logical and correct). I also like the fact that he is a fellow Aussie!
