About the Author
Founder of the international consultancy Retail Prophet, Doug Stephens is one of the world’s most influential retail industry futurists. If you are serious about retail this is a must-read.

Doug Stephens follows up his seminal work, The Retail Revival, with a brilliantly researched and well-articulated view on the vastly changing retail landscape. Rather than hypothesize about what retail might look like in five or ten years, Stephens draws on current examples to inform his perspective. He points to the ever-growing nature of AI to redefine the retail experience and lays out a case as to how retail is being influenced by forces not traditionally of the sector. For instance, he shows how Amazon's obsession with new technology and innovation is and will continue to influence bricks and mortar developments by both putting many retailers out of business, even as it drives others to greater levels of innovation and relevance. Good Enough to Read on Vacation

This book has been a great thought-provoker as to the future of retail and how retail marketers have to rethink the way consumers are starting to shop. Retail has changed and Doug Stephens points out some really good insights. I appreciate the historical presentation as well as I find the retail business very interesting. The tone of the writer is great and kept me interested. I never read business books and I actually looked forward to finishing this. I took it on a trip and it kept me interested. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because it is a business book and not fiction which i prefer.

Must Read for all retailers of any kind!
If you are a retailer big/small/brick & mortar/online you need to read this book. The future is certainly unknown but this book will get you thinking in the right direction.
