5Great book!
By polyglotbyron6
This book is a great intermediate (and I mean 'start not-long after you've begun your study of HTML & CSS' intermediate) book on laying out responsive web sites. This book gives a structured, orderly approach to this topic, starting with an explanation of the need for responsive design, and the approaches taken through the years towards trying to solve the problems addressed by responsive design. This explanation is short and to-the-point, and then the author immediately dives into 'how' to make this stuff work. Along the way, you won't just learn how to make a responsive site, but you'll learn some good principles of the design aspect of web development - as a programmer who doesn't play graphic designer in real life, this was really important for me. Lots of color AND b&W illustrations reinforce the concepts. Anyway, this book is a great value, and I cannot emphasize the importance of learning the material it presents early in your web development education.

5Great Book For Experienced Web Developers Looking to Start Building Responsive Web Sites
By David L. Cohen
One of the best technical books I've read - and I've read a lot of them. I'm a long time web developer, experienced with many technologies. However, I am just now getting into responsive and mobile web site projects. This book did a great job meshing what I do know and what I need to know for responsive web sites. It helped immediately - and immensely - with a mobile project I am working on now. If you are a web developer with little experience or knowledge about responsive web sites, this is a great book to start with.

4Great for Responsive Design Knowledge without much time wasted on basic web dev items
By Zachary P.
This was a great book to learn many ins and outs for responsive web design. The facts listed seemed logical and provide additional content to seek in regards to the facts brought up. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking information on responsive web design. Missing 1 star as I wish the book would have finished with a complete example of all code best practices throughout as a summary of items learned.
